@everyone, @here or no ping: which Discord ad format to choose
How Discord mentions differ, how many people see your ad in each case and when a ping is worth it.
The mention decides whether members get a notification about your ad — and that drives both reach and price.
Three options
- No ping — the post appears in the channel; people who open it see it. Cheapest and best for testing.
- @here — notifies members who are online right now. Works best at peak hours.
- @everyone — notifies every member, including offline ones. Maximum reach, maximum price.
When to use which
- Testing a new server — no ping, one-off post.
- Time-limited offer — @here in the evening.
- Launch or big announcement — @everyone on a server with a live audience.
- Long presence — a 7 or 30-day placement without a ping.
Do not buy @everyone on a server with a low online count. Choose the format when ordering in the catalog.
